First Look at Honda's Compact SUV Vezel

Honda recently unveiled its all-new compact SUV Vezel at the Tokyo Motor Show. The SUV is based on the Jazz platform and looks more like a crossover with its sloping lines along the C pillar.

The Japanese automaker will offer the Vezel in two variants – 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel.

The Vezel will go on for sale on 20 December in Japan and it is still not sure if Honda will launch the car in India.

The Vezel ticks all the necessary boxes as a compact SUV and we find no reason for why the Vezel will not help Honda’s fortunes in India. Strong character lines along the sides and the sloping lines along the C pillar gives the Vezel a sporty yet sophisticated look. It has a spacious and plush cabin, fitted with the all necessary equipment and borrows styling cues from both the Jazz and the CRV.

Given India’s craze for compact SUVs and the success of Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster, Honda will surely look to cash in on the sales with the Vezel.

Honda is all set to launch the new City, MPV Mobilio next year in India.
