KfA has not given any revival plan so far: Ajit Singh

Government on Thursday saidKingfisher Airlines has not yet given a revival plan torestart operations, even as employees are aggrieved overnon-payment of salaries.

"All they have to do is satisfy DGCA that they can dosafe operation and sustain operations. They have to give aplan -- a financially viable plan. He (Vijay Mallya) has notgiven that so far," Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh toldreporters outside Parliament.

Singh said non-payment of salaries has left the "highlytrained" employees an aggrieved lot. Several employees havealready left the company.

The employees, meanwhile, have threatened to disrupt IPLmatches of the Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB), the teamowned by Mallya.

Asked if the government can intervene in the matter, theMinister said "the government has no role in this".

The airline, whose license is under suspension after itfailed to clear dues of employees and other stakeholders, hastwo years' time to get its permit renewed and restartoperations.

The Vijay Mallya-owned cash-strapped airline is groundedsince October last year following unrest by employees overnon-payment of salaries and subsequent disruption in itsflight schedules.
