TVS today rolled out it's third scooter, the Jupiter at Rs 44,200 ex-showroom Delhi. The 110cc scooter is built on the Wego platform and is primarily targeted towards the male buyer.
The tried and tested 110cc motor produces 8bhp and 8N-M of torque with ARAI fuel economy figure of 62 KMPL. Jupiter sports 12 inch black alloy wheels, external fuel filler and a mobile charging point. TVS has added few gadgetry to the Jupiter by installing it's patented 'Econometer', which helps riders switch between 'eco' and 'power' modes.
The Chennai-based auto manufacturer is hoping to cash in on the Diwali season and has shipped 4,000 units already to dealers.
The company is expecting to sell at least 10,000 units a month. TVS chief Venu Srinivasan also announced the launch of Scooty Zest on January 1, 2014.
