BENGALURU: Job creation in November registered a 14 per cent jump, primarily driven by sectors like banking, financial services, insurance (BFSI) and software services, according to a report released on Friday. The Naukri Job Speak Index for November 2016 stood at 1,817, recording a growth of 14% in recruitments over the same period last year.

Among the cities, Pune reported the highest growth in terms of recruitment at 32 per cent.
Hiring got a fillip from in the IT/ITES, Telecom and BPO which registered a growth of 14 per cent and 15 per cent year respectively in the period under review.
So far finance industries have shown strong performance in this financial year and this trend continued along with  jobs in Banking and Financial Services witnessing a 42 per cent yearly growth while the insurance sector also saw jobs increasing by 43 per cent in November 2016 when compared to November 2015.

“Jobspeak index continues to sustain the momentum gained over the past few quarters, with 14% YOY growth in November. This growth is primarily driven by sectors viz, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI) and software services and the good news is a slow but steady revival of NON-IT sectors. This trend is likely to continue and we can expect the index to further move north in 2017,”said V Suresh, Chief Sales Officer, Naukri.com.
 With more than 1,60,000 jobs live at any point and over 41 million CV’s it has witnessed continuous growth.

Manufacturing and Infrastructure oriented industries continued to remain flat or registered small annual growth in jobs.
Besides, Oil & Gas and Power & Infrastructure industry jobs were also flat while Industrial Products like Heavy Machinery saw 8 per cent increase in the same time period. However, jobs in Construction, Engineering, Cement, Metals decreased by 6 per cent.
 Amongst other industries, medical and healthcare saw a 24 per cent year on growth in jobs while education and teaching also witnessed a 35 per cent increase in jobs.
