BS-IV compliant CB Unicorn unveiled

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday unveiled  a new BS-IV compliant version of the CB Unicorn 160, priced at `73,552 (ex-showroom Delhi).

CHENNAI: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday unveiled  a new BS-IV compliant version of the CB Unicorn 160, priced at `73,552 (ex-showroom Delhi).The motorcycle is also one of the first in its category to have the Automatic Head Lights On feature.

“150-160 cc is one of the most dynamic and competitive segments. The CB Unicorn 160 with its sleek design, impeccable looks and great fuel efficiency has been a successful urban commuter from Honda’s stable,” HMSI’s Senior Vice-President Sales and Marketing Y S Guleria said in a statement. 


The model will need to compete with the likes of TVS Motor Company’s Apache RTR-160 and Yamaha’s new FZ-S, among others. The bike comes with Honda Eco Technology and a BS-IV compliant engine with new graphics and a longer visor, Guleria added.  

The model also comes in a new Matte Marvel Blue colour. The existing Imperial Red Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black colours will now get new graphics as a standard fitment. Other existing colours include Pearl Amazing White and Matte Axis Grey.


The bike continues to use the 162.71cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which produces 13.82 BHP at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.92 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The bike is also taller by 2 mm in the 2017 edition.
