Polycab targets revenue of Rs 10,000 crore by 2020

BENGALURU: Wire and cable producer Polycab today said it aims to achieve revenue of about Rs 10,000 crore by 2020 compared to its current revenues of Rs 6,500 crore.      

To achieve this, the company said it has embarked on a strategy of expanding customer and distribution network and introducing new products to add to its already large product basket.      

Polycab has already invested in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities capable of achieving this goal, it said in a release.      

As part of the strategy, Polycab introduced its new product 'Green Cable'.      

The product has set a benchmark by complying with RoHS standards (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), a European Union directive norm, by the European Union on 1st July, 2006, the company said.      

With the launch of 'Green Cables', the company also aims to contribute towards India's commitment to 'Go Green', it added.      

"Polycab is emerging as one of India's strongest electricals companies and straddles both the Infrastructure segment and the Consumer Electricals segment," Polycab Vice  Chairman & Joint Managing Director R Ramakrishnan said.
