Infosys America's head Sandeep Dadlani resigns

The change of guard at the top level could add to the challenges of the company, even as Infosys is struggling to meet its target of $20 billion revenue by 2020.

BENGALURU: Infosys Americas head and global head (retail and manufacturing) Sandeep Dadlani has quit the company. This comes at a time when the company is already braving choppy waters globally, in concern with the proposed H1B visa regulations by the US government and locally, with the ongoing conflicts between the co-founders and the management.

On his LinkedIn profile, Dadlani stated, “I will always cherish my 16+ years at Infosys working and learning with some of the best leaders, mentors, colleagues, clients, partners and teams in the industry. I have decided to pursue my personal interests elsewhere. Next up: An out-of-the world assignment! Stay tuned.”

The change of guard at the top level could add to the challenges of the company, even as Infosys is struggling to meet its target of $20 billion revenue by 2020, as envisioned by Sikka when he took charge as CEO.

Infosys said Dadlani will be replaced by Karmesh Vaswani as global head (retail), CPG and Logistics (RCL) and Nitesh Banga as global head of manufacturing. The duo will be assuming their new positions with effect from July 15, 2017.

Karmesh Vaswani and Nitesh Banga are both career Infoscions who have held strategic portfolios across the organisation for nearly a decade.

Commenting on the development, Vishal Sikka, chief executive officer, Infosys said, “I congratulate Karmesh and Nitesh on their appointments as the global leaders for two of our key strategic segments. I have worked closely with them over the last three years and have tremendous faith in their passion for client success and their ability to help clients see and achieve their digital aspirations.”

Meanwhile, Gopi Krishnan Radhakrishnan, who was the Acting General Counsel of Infosys, will also be leaving the firm later this month. Infosys announced the appointment of Inderpreet Sawhney as Group General Counsel, with effect from July 3, 2017, in his place.

Inderpreet was the General Counsel in Wipro.
