NEW DELHI: Apollo plans to enhance information technology tools in patient care and introduce internet of things to make patient data available across the country.

“My principle from day one has been I should have the same technology available in city and village,” Prathap Reddy, founder chairman of Apollo Group, said.

The firm plans to skill around 50,000 people, including doctors and nurses, in IT, IoT and artificial intelligence-based medical support system.

The Apollo Medical College is now a 350-bedded government district headquarters hospital, which is fully IT- supported under a unique public-private partnership model with the Andhra Pradesh government, added Reddy.
