Case registered against MBT worker for posting objectionable video in Whatsapp

Hyderabad police have registered a case against the accused who was trying to instigate certain communities via his videos over Whatsapp.

HYDERABAD: The city police have registered a case on Sunday, against a MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek) worker for having posted an objectionable video in Whatsapp through a private channel.

The accused, Asif Iqbal had posted a video in Whatsapp through IB 24x7 channel in which he was provocating different communities, according to South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana.

His words in the video are highly objectionable and may cause a breach of peace and public tranquillity in Hyderabad city. A case has been registered under appropriate sections of law against him and also against the channel which is circulating the video", the Deputy Commissioner said.

He said that stringent action would be initiated against them as per law as their acts are dangerous and may cause disturbance to peaceful atmosphere and security in Hyderabad city.

"We also inform that already a case was registered in Rein Bazar police station in Cr.no._65/18 u/s 153 B 295 A 298 505 IPC on the complaint of Asif Iqbal against MLA Raja Singh and as per the guidelines of Supreme Court we have issued 41 (a) Cr.P.C notices to him and obtained reply from Raja Singh as per legal procedure and we are going to file charge sheet against him in the Court", Mr Satyanarayana said.

He also appealed to the citizens not to encourage such kind of things as the law would take its own course of action if anybody violates the law or indulges in such unsocial activities.
