Adani Power climbs after commissioning of power plant at Tiroda

Adani Power, part of the Adani Group, a global integrated infrastructure player, climbed on Friday after the company commissioned its fourth unit of 660 megawatts (MW) at power plant at Tiroda in Maharashtra. Adani Power has added 2,640 MW in the last financial year, accounting for nearly 15% of the overall capacity addition of about 17,000 MW in the country.Shares of the company are trading at Rs 53.20, up Rs 1.55, or 3% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 11:51 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 53.55 and low of Rs 52.20. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 1,089,937.In the earlier session, the shares rose 2.99%, or Rs 1.5, at Rs 51.65. Currently, the stock is trading down 14.74% from its 52-week high of Rs 62.40 and above 80.65% over the 52-week low of Rs 29.45.
