Essar Oil, one of the leading player in
energy sector and a subsidiary of Essar Energy plc, surged on
Wednesday afterthe company'snet loss narrowed in the quarter ended
June 2013to Rs 8.63 billion from Rs 15.18 billion in the same
period last year.
Total income came in at Rs 224.61
billion, an increase of 12.18% over Rs 200.23 billion in the same
period a year ago.
Shares of Essar Oil are trading at Rs 60.35, up Rs 2.85, or
4.96% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday at 3:17
p.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 60.35 and low of
Rs 57.20. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is
535,208.In the earlier session, the shares climbed 4.93%, or Rs
2.7, at Rs 57.50.Currently, the stock is trading down 37.23% from
its 52-week high of Rs 96.15 and above 31.2% over the 52-week low
of Rs 46.00.
