HCC gains on DMRC order worth Rs 3 bn

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), one of the India's leading infrastructure companies, gained on Thursday after the company securedRs 3 billion contractfrom Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). This contract is for design and construction of 1.54 km long twin tunnel on Dwarka-Najafgarh metro corridor of phase Ill of Delhi Metro. The twine tunnels will be constructed using shield tunnel boring machine.

The contract also includes construction of one of the biggest underground station namely Municipal Corporation which is 290 meters long and 30 meters in width. The station will be built at depth of 18 meters. The construction work would be completed in 36 months.Shares of the company are trading at Rs 18.55, up Rs 0.5, or 2.77% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday at 11:33 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 18.90 and low of Rs 18.40. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 515,566.In the earlier session, the shares lost 3.99%, or Rs 0.75, at Rs 18.05. Currently, the stock is trading down 6.31% from its 52-week high of Rs 19.80 and above 139.35% over the 52-week low of Rs 7.75.
