Idea Cellular gains on board nod to hike in FII limit

Idea Cellular, one of the leading telecom operators and a part of the Aditya Birla group, gained on Monday after its board approved to increase the aggregate investment limit of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) from 24% to 49% of the paid-up equity capital. Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs 177.05, up Rs 1.6, or 0.91% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:41 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 178.75 and low of Rs 176.15. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 64,042.In the earlier session, the shares climbed 0.26%, or Rs 0.44, at Rs 175.45. Currently, the stock is trading down 6% from its 52-week high of Rs 188.35 and above 91.51% over the 52-week low of Rs 92.45.
