Opto Circuits gains on USFDA nod for Powerheart G5 AED

Opto Circuits (India)
gained on Thursday after the company announced that the Powerheart
G5 AED has received 510(k) market clearance from the USFDA (Food
and Drug Administration), allowing the company to begin selling the
AED later this year along with Powerheart G3 product line.
"This news is a testament to the
commitment shown by our employees who have spent many years of
developing, testing and refining the Powerheart G5 so that seasoned
and first-time resucers will have the most reliable, easy-to-use
AED in the US marketplace. Our product portfoilio is now the envy
of the AED industry," said Vinod Ramnani, chairman and managing
director, Opto Circuits (India).
Shares of the company gained Rs 1.1, or 4.37%, to trade at Rs
26.30. The total volume of shares traded was 747,409 at the BSE
(2.40 p.m., Thursday). The scrip has touched an intra-day high of
Rs 26.75 and low of Rs 24.95. The total volume of shares traded at
the BSE is 747,409.In the earlier session, the shares gained 0.6%,
or Rs 0.15, at Rs 25.20.Currently, the stock is trading down 60.06%
from its 52-week high of Rs 65.85 and above 47.75% over the 52-week
low of Rs 17.80.
