Ranbaxy falls on recall of Lipitor from US

Ranbaxy Laboratories, one of the leading pharma players, fell on Monday after media reports quoted the company has recalled some batches of its generic version of cholesterol-lowering Lipitor drug in the US after a dosage mix-up was detected. Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs 363, down Rs 7.1, or 1.92% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:19 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 369 and low of Rs 356. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 303,234.In the earlier session, the shares lost 0.43%, or Rs 1.6, at Rs 370.10. Currently, the stock is trading down 25.94% from its 52-week high of Rs 490.15 and above 42.94% over the 52-week low of Rs 253.95.
