Ranbaxy Laboratories, one of the leading
pharma players, plunged nearly 3% on Friday after it has recalled
Atorvastatin from the USA market. This will cause temporary
disruption to that market of this product, it said.
''The investigation with regard to the same of this issue is
expected to be completed within two weeks and thereafter the
company expects to resume supplies,'' the company said. Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs
498, down Rs 14.7, or 2.87% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on
Friday at 1:22 p.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs
514.95 and low of Rs 495.60. The total volume of shares traded at
the BSE is 113,773.In the earlier session, the shares declined
0.92%, or Rs 4.75, at Rs 512.70. Currently, the stock is trading
down 13.89% from its 52-week high of Rs 578.30 and above 35.88%
over the 52-week low of Rs 366.50.
