Asian markets settled on a lower note on Thursday after an
apparent budget deal in the US. Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225
went down 173.24 points, or 1.12% to close at 15,341.82.Hong Kong's
Hang Seng index decreased 120.12 points, or 0.51% to close at
South Korea's Kospi index went down 10.04 points, or 0.51% to
end at 1,967.93. China's Shanghai Composite index fell 1.37 points,
or 0.06% to settle at 2,202.80.
Taiwan's Taiex index declined 72.44 points, or 0.86% to settle
at 8,361.33. Singapore's Straits Times index went down 2.02 points,
or 0.07% to close at 3,058.72.
