European markets opened higher in early trade on Thursday as
investorsawaited central-bank meetings.
Europe's leading blue-chip index for the Eurozone, Euro STOXX 50
gained 14.18 points or 0.51% to trade at 2,772.47. UK's benchmark
index FTSE 100 rose 45.94 points or 0.71% to trade at 6,520.68.
Meanwhile, Germany's benchmark index DAX gained 53.8 points or
0.63% to trade at 8,544.1. French benchmark index CAC 40 went up
17.73 points or 0.45%, to trade at 3,998.15.
