President’s Medal for 22 Police Officers from State

As many as 22 police officers serving in various capacities in the State have been honoured with the President’s Police Medal on the eve of the Republic Day.

Three senior police officers have been conferred Police Medal for distinguished service and the rest have received the Police Medal for meritorious service.

Distinguished service: Dr Ravindranath, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bangalore, P K  Shivashankara, Superintendent of Police Lokayukta, Ramanagaram and Ravinarayan, Additional SP, Davanagere district.

Meritorious service: Seemant Kumar Singh, IGP and Commander, Anti-Naxal Force (ANF), Udupi,  Soumendu Mukherjee,  DIGP, CID, Bangalore, A G Ishwarappa, DCP , City Armed Reserve (North) Bangalore City.

Santhosh Kumar, SP, ANF, Udupi, H R Mahadevaiah SP, CSP, Udupi, K R Venkatesh, SP, Finger Print Bureau, Bangalore, K M Gangadharappa, Commandant, 9th Battalion, KSRP, Bangalore, Ramadas Gowda,  Commandant, 5th Battalion, KSRP, Mysore, B C Kallappa, Commandant, 3rd Battalion, KSRP, Bangalore, B S Muddumahadevaiah, SP, Intelligence,  Mysore. Abdulsa Sultansa Ghori, DySP, District Crime Record Bureau (DCRB), Belgaum, N H Siddappa, DSP, CID Bangalore, G Gurulingappa, PSI, Banasavadi PS, Bangalore City.

H K Ramarao, PSI (Wireless), Technical Stores, Bangalore, R G Nemagowda, PSI (Wireless), District Control Room, Bijapur,  M K Narasimhachar, ASI, Jayalakshmipuram Police Station Mysore City,  Sadananda Bhandary, ASI, Ajekar Police Station Udupi district,  K Ravindra, Head Constable, K G Halli Police Station, Bangalore City, V L N Prasanna Kumar, Head Constable, CID, Bangalore.

Five officers attached to the Home Guards and Civil Defence Department have also received the honour. They are Rachappa Basappa Hadimani, Platoon Commander, Home Guards, Bagalkot, N Krishnappa, Assistant Instructor, Home Guards, Kolar,  H N Ramachandra, Company Commander, Hassan, R Vinodamma, Tumkur and Amrik Singh Sehgal, Deputy Chief of Warden for Civil Defence, Bangalore.
