The 45-year-old school headmaster who is the accused of raping an attendant is still absconding and the police are awaiting the medical report in the case.

The accused Srinivas is the headmaster of a private high school in Amarajyothi Layout on Thanisandra Main Road.

Sampigehalli police on Friday registered a case based on a complaint filed by a 24-year-old attendant, who used to stay in a room on the school premises.

She has been working at the school for a few years. On Thursday night, Srinivas allegedly barged into her room and raped her before attacking her.

Man Found Dead on Railway Track

A 23-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the railway track at Thanisandra Road near Hennur on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Naveen, a native of KGF who was staying at Hennur with his family. He was running a travel agency and also owned earthmoving machines.

 The incident came to light  around 10.30 pm. The police suspect that the victim might have come under a moving train after parking his bike under the railway bridge.

No suicide note was found and the reason for his death is yet to be ascertained. Byapanahalli railway police have registered a case.
