Why do you back up this Body?

Vayasi gate kaha

kaamavikaaraha,

Shuske neere kaha kaasaaraha,

Ksheene vitte kaha parivaaraha,

Jnaate tatve kassamsaaraha

The temptation of Kama is due to the bodily attraction. The body shines with beauty during the childhood, adolescent and youth stages, purely because of the well-built muscles and the shine of the skin.  Hence the temptation of Kama will be at its peak. By the time you struggle out of this slippery slush, all your bodily strength and vigour would have been lost and the body becomes battered. As age advances, the body starts depleting every day and it becomes totally incapacitated and dilapidated under the pressure of old age. With the skin wrinkled badly everywhere, when your body is diseased and vigourless, where is the question of the temptation of Kama? Everybody ridicules and despises your body condition. Its attraction vanishes. Hence, there is no place for the carnal kama. It is the clarification by Krishna - the kama which is not against Dharma is indeed myself, Oh! Arjuna - in Bhagavadgeetha.  In this type of kama, there is no derogation.  It is pure love - appreciation and a divine engulfment in God.  May such kama engulf us firmly and for ever.

Without the presence of water, can we call any place as a lake?  When the water itself dries up completely, the lake also vanishes.  It simply becomes a depression with pits and gorges.   Exactly like this, when you become wealth less, your family and relatives look you down and even discard you.  Hence, any day, family and relatives can never be your protectors.

Absorb this clear fact deep into your mind and think with utmost concentration.  When your mind sees through the reality as “this is like this”, then you realise “That (Brahman) is verily yourself. On the dawn of this Jnanasurya, where is the darkness of bandhana.  Then you will see Bhagavan - Brahman everywhere. You will start singing and dancing - “sarvam Brahmamayam re re, like the great Avadhoota, Sadashiva Brahmendra. Then you will not only see the lake of happiness but you will merge deep in the ocean of divine Ananda.

Where is the worldly bondage? Means moving hither and thither - the search and running around to realise the life’s goal. Once the thathvam is realised, all these running, search and tension vanish.  Then only the play of God starts. The mind stands still in the Parabrahman. We merge in that, we become full of light and happiness. To attain this condition - worship Govinda now and onwards.
