Training ‘Memory, Mind and Body’

Guinness World Record holder  for memory and push-ups  Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury  conducted a workshop on ‘Memory, Mind and Body’ in Bangalore on Sunday.

“With the help of a simple memory technique, that has to be practised for 15 minutes everyday, it is possible to memorise anything,” said Chowdhury, who has made it to the Limca Book of World Records seven times for being the national memory record holder.

Rahul Manjunath, a class 4 student from Mysore who had attended a similar workshop in January, demonstrated his memory skills by memorising and calling out a series of over 80 numbers after looking at it for just over a minute.

He even deduced the day of the week when any date was given to him. Chowdhury  said, “My techniques help children overcome learning problems and reach the next level and keep progressing thereon.”

Anusha, a Class 9 student said, “Learning up all my history dates is just a cake walk for me now.”

Chowdhury has authored over 25 books. The workshop will be held from June 11 to 14 at the Goods Shepherd Auditorium on Museum Road.
