A property investment exhibition, Budget Homes and Property Investment Options Forum, 2013, was held in the city over the weekend. Over 200 projects and property ranging from `10 lakh to `75 lakh were on display. Leading builders like DLF, Hiranandani and Tata Housing had put up stalls. The exhibition saw stalls of over 40 builders and the first day had a footfall of 3000 people.
The event began on Saturday with speeches and panel discussions by the who’s who of real estate. Former education minister, M Raghupathy, who was present at the event, spoke about simple living adopted by the likes of Nelson Mandela and Abraham Lincoln. He also touched upon the issue of budget housing in his address.
Next to address the gathering was S K Jain, an eminent name in the astrology world. “All credit goes to the builders who have made the city what it is today,” he said. He also stressed on the importance of vaastu. “North and East are important points to keep in mind while building a home,” he added.
