A walk for the differently abled

Over 50 students and staff members from Deeksha Network of Colleges participated in a walkathon

Over 50 students and staff members from Deeksha Network of Colleges participated in a walkathon to spread awareness and raise funds towards education for 1625 physically challenged children recently. The event, which was organised by Samarthanam, an NGO, witnessed participants from various walks of life. “I am lucky to be blessed with a fit body and good education and it is my responsibility to support such causes, so that my fellow beings can also have a good education,” said Kirthi, a student from Deeksha. Agreeing with the same, Dr Sridhar, Founder Deeksha Network, said, “At Deeksha we believe, students need to have a holistic education experience, with a sense of responsibility towards society, where it is not just merely donating but also to go out and practically get involved. This is one such experience for our students and staff members.”
