Jilted Lover's Life Ends After Brawl

A jilted lover’s plan to teach a lesson to his lady love and her husband ended in anti-climax on Tuesday morning as he himself was killed by her husband in a brawl.

A jilted lover’s plan to teach a lesson to his lady love and her husband ended in anti-climax on Tuesday morning as he himself was killed by her husband in a brawl.

The incident took place at Channakeshavanagar near Parappana Agrahara. The deceased has been identified as Sathish (30), a resident of Anekal and a native of Tamil Nadu.

Shyamaraj (24), an interior designer, and his wife Rukmini were stabbed in the neck and face by Sathish. They have been admitted to a hospital and are out of danger, Parappa Agrahara police said.

According to the police, Shyamaraj married  Rukmini, a resident of Kanakapura, just 15 days ago at Anekal. Sathish was in love with her since a few years. But she had ended her relationship with Sathish.

Police explained that Rukmini complained about fever and did not cook food on Tuesday morning. So, Shyam went out to bring breakfast. Sathish sneaked into the house at this time.

When Shyam returned home, he found Sathish hiding under the cot.

Angrily, Shyam questioned Sathish why he was hiding there. Sathish maintained that he is a relative of Rukmini and had come to meet her. He also added that he had also attended their marriage. He was not convinced with his reply. This led to a heated argument.

Rukmini supported her husband and claimed innocence. An enraged Sathish took the knife out and stabbed her in the neck. When Shyam tried to rescue her, he was also stabbed in the face, the police added.

In the brawl, Shyam pushed Sathish to wall. He sustained serious internal injury on his head was rushed to the nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead, they stated.

Poison Bottle Recovered

The police suspect that Sathish was enraged over Rukmini’s marriage and he had come to her house to eliminate her and also planned to commit suicide by consuming poison after he killing her. The police found a poison bottle in his possession.

The Parappana Agrahara police said that they have registered a case. Sathish’s body  had been shifted to the Victoria Hospital.
