Vedic scholars feel India should explain to the rest of the world the wisdom in Vedic books and give more importance to Sanskrit in the educational system.

At the inauguration of the 5th International Vedic Science Conference held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan here on Friday, Governor Hansraj Bharadwaj quoted the words of yogi Sri Aurobindo, describing India as a pure society that exists not just to serve her own material interests, but also to live for the almighty and help the human race.

He said a plan to set up a Sanskrit University in the state has not progressed, but promised to seek funds for the same. Former High Court judge R Gururajan and other dignitaries were present.
