A 21-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging in front of her eight-month-old daughter at her house at Chinnaiah Palya in Adugodi here on Sunday. The reason for her to take the extreme decision is yet to be ascertained, police said.
Shivakumari, a native of Gauribidanur, was married to Srinivas, an employee of a private company,one-and-a-half years ago.
The incident took place in the early morning. Shivakumari hanged herself from the ceiling in the drawing room.
At 7.30 am, Shivakumari’s sister-in-law, who heard the child crying, came to the drawing room and noticed her hanging body, the police added.
