After a great deal of uncertainty, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has finally announced that it will begin the seat allotment process for Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISMH) from Friday. As many as 574 Ayurveda, 190 Homeopathy, 24 Unani and 67 Naturopathy and Yoga seats are available.

The Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department has issued the seat matrix for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH) courses at Shimoga, Hassan and Bidar Veterinary Colleges. A total of 153 veterinary seats are available (51 in each college).

It may be noted that last year the Ministry of Agriculture directed the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries to allow conditional admissions to Shimoga, Bidar and Hassan colleges for 2013-14.

This came after the Veterinary Council of India initially refused recognition to Shimoga and Hassan colleges owing to inadequate infrastructure.

The seat matrix will be hosted on the KEA website www.kea.kar.nic.in on Friday after 3 pm.

Eligible candidates who have secured ISMH and veterinary ranks in the Common Entrance Test (CET)can file their options on the website from 6 pm on Friday till 10 am on October 21. The allotment results will be announced on October 21 after 8 pm.

Candidates can pay the fees and download admission orders between October 22-24. Last date to report to colleges is October 25 (before 5.30 pm).
