A 57-year-old woman KSRTC employee was killed when she was knocked down by a speeding train in Yeshwantpur on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shivaprabha, a resident of Chikkabanawara. She was working as an assistant manager at the KSRTC head office in Shanthinagar.
Police said the incident took place around 9.15 am when she was on her way to work. She was run over by a passenger train while crossing the track near Yeshwantpur railway station.
A passerby who noticed the incident alerted the police. “Shivaprabha, in her hurry to reach office , did not notice the train and tried to cross the track,” police. Yeshwantpur railway police are investigating the incident.
