This year R T Nagar Sarbajanin Durga Puja Samiti is stepping into its 7th year of Durga Puja celebrations, which are taking place at Patels Inn, RT Nagar, this year. To put a punch into their festivities, the association has left no stone unturned. The 'themed puja’, will have the vibrant culture of ‘pipli’ come alive inside the mandap.
As a part of the event and to add color to the festival, the Samiti has planned various competitions and fun filled activities. Stalls with mouthwatering dishes, sweets and dishes will be an integral part of this celebration.
The biggest attraction is the cultural extravaganza, which started on October 11 where Lopamudra Mitra mesmerised the audience with her renditions. On Ashtami, October 12, the crowd will be enthralled by the performance of Tollywood playback singer Somlata Acharya. On Nabami, October 13, famous Bollywood singer from north-east, Zubin Garg and Bangalore based Band ‘Aurko’ will perform together.
Baul folk singers from the village of Birbhum will perform on all days.
Apart from this, a lot of in-house cultural programmes like dance and drama shows by children and a lot of other attractive programmes will be performed by the members themselves.
