According to Jnanabharathi police, the incident took place on Friday.  A seriously injured Krishnappa was admitted to Abhaya Hospital in Ullala near Kengeri and was later shifted to the Victoria Hospital on Sunday night.

Palani kicked him while both quarrelled in an inebriated state over money when Krishnappa asked Palani to return a loan near Mallattahalli.

Jnanabharathi police have arrested Palani and are investigating the case.

Private Bus Kills a Youth

A speeding private bus killed a youth on Mysore Road on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Darshan Prakash (28).

According to Byatarayanapura traffic police, Darshan was riding a two-wheeler from Chamarajpet to his residence in Hosaguddadahalli with his cousin Chiranjivi (15).

The private bus (KA 02 HJ 1719) hit him from behind near Christian burial ground near the Mysore Road flyover. Darshan suffered serious head injury and died on the way to Nimhans Hospital. Chiranjivi escaped with injuries. The police say that rash driving by the private bus driver was the reason for the accident.

Burglars Strike at JP Nagar, RR Nagar

Burglars made away with Rs16 lakh worth of jewels and valuables in JP Nagar and RR Nagar on Saturday.

According to the complaint by M S Surendra (45), a resident of Dollars Colony in J P Nagar, the miscreants broke into his house between 7 pm and 9 pm and took away Rs 15 lakh worth of gold ornaments.

The miscreants, who entered the house after breaking window grills have taken away 480 grams of gold jewels including a Diamond necklace. Surendra’s family had gone out for shopping. J P Nagar police are investigating the case.

In another case burglars struck at the house of M Mahesh, a resident of Sri Krishna Garden in R R Nagar and made away with Rs 1.41 lakh worth 91 gram gold valuables by breaking open the lock.

The incident had taken place when Mahesh’s family had gone to attend a music programme in Indiranagar. The police are investigating.
