The city police have made elaborate security arrangements for Bakrid and deployed around 15,000 policemen and 500 Home Guards for bandobust in and around the city.
The Police Commissioner and the ACP (Law & Order) will be supervising the security arrangements, a press release stated.
It is said that in the view of Bakrid, the police have conducted peace committee meetings in all police station limits to avoid any untoward incident. Security has been beefed up across the city and 25 KSRP and CAR platoons have been deployed.
