200 models showcased at science exhibition

Sri Sankara Arts and Science College, Enathur, Kancheepuram organised Elixir-2013, a science exhibition, recently. The exhibition was inaugurated by Chief Educational Officer S Shanthi. Principal Dr K R Venkatesan delivered the felicitation address.

Dr N Rangarajan, convenor of the exhibition, welcomed the gathering. Dr S M Shanthi, associate professor of the English Department, gave the vote of thanks.

Around 200 models from 12 departments were exhibited. More than 4,000 students from Kancheepuram and nearby district schools visited the exhibition.

Dr P Kandasamy, syndicate member, University of Madras, was the chief guest of the valedictory function and distributed prizes to the winners of the model presentation competition.

Models like Foetal development, Pilgrim’s progress, Food adulteration, Ancient to modern virus cultivation, Generation of electricity from natural resources, Online marketing, Five types of lands were exhibited.
