Woman pushed from third floor by boyfriend

 A 24-year-old beautician was seriously injured after she was allegedly pushed off the third floor by her boyfriend at his house in RT Nagar on Wednesday evening.

 A 24-year-old beautician was seriously injured after she was allegedly pushed off the third floor by her boyfriend at his house in RT Nagar on Wednesday evening.

The victim has been identified as Chandrakala, a resident of Matadahalli in RT Nagar. It is said that she had an affair with one Yogesh, a cab driver who is already married.

Police said that the victim’s father, in his statement to the police on Thursday, alleged that Yogesh, who is their neighbour, had called Chandrakala for dinner and she had gone alone. Around 7.45 pm, he picked up a quarrel with her over an issue and pushed her from the third floor before breaking her cell phone and SIM card.

As she sustained severe head injuries, Yogesh, along with his family members, took her to a nearby hospital and later she was shifted to NIMHANS. She was shifted to a private hospital in Koramangala on Friday.

Police said she is in a critical condition and they have not yet recorded her statement.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Yogesh, who frequently met Chandrakala at his house, had promised to marry her.She used to quarrel with him over the same issue and both their families knew about it.

A senior police officer said, “We are waiting to record the victim’s statement. The accused is absconding.”

R T Nagar police are investigating in this connection.
