Depressed woman techie ends life

Vidya Somanna (29), an analyst with Tesco, committed suicide at her residence on Friday late evening as she was unable to conceive.

According to HAL police who are investigating the incident, Vidya married Somanna, a team leader in a software firm,  two years ago. The couple resided at Ist Main Veerabhadranagar.

The police said Vidya left a death note stating that no one was responsible for her death. She hanged herself when she was alone at home. Her cousin found the body and informed relatives.

HAL police said that in their statement, Vidya’s parents, who arrived from Kodagu, did not say anything against their son-in-law Somanna.  

Lorry Driver Dies

S N Dorai (45), a resident of Nagashettyhalli, died on the spot after coming under a truck’s wheels on Saturday at RMC yard premises. According to Yeshwantpur traffic police, who are probing the incident, Dorai was standing in front of the lorry he drove when another truck knocked him down.
