Two 22-year-old labourers from Bihar were killed after they fell into a 16-foot-deep manhole, under construction on 5th Main Road, Vidyanagar in Peenya on Friday evening.
According to police, the accident occurred when Prahlad Kumar and Rohit Kumar were inspecting the manhole. Prahlad first slipped into the manhole and Rohit lost his balance and fell in when he attempted to save his co-worker. Prahlad died on the spot while Rohit succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. Police have registered a case against private contractor Kishore.
