Assets worth Rs 4 crore seized in raids

The officials whose premises were raided are Junior Engineer, Jagalur Pattana Panchayat in Davanagere. H Srinivas; Board Secretary cum Chief Labour Officer in Hubli Shankarappa K; Assistant Executive Engineer GESCOM, Gulbarga, Veerabhadra and Teacher Sathyagalakaval, Mysore, M D Mohan Kumar.

IAS officer gets bail

A CBI special court granted bail to IAS officer M E Shivalingamurthy in the illegal mining case. The officer was remanded to custody on September 22. Shivalingamurthy, who was Director of Mines and Geology Department during 2009-10, had allegedly issued permits to Associated Mining Company, though he had no authority to do so.
