A seventh standard student of a government school at Dobbespet delivered a boy at a primary heath centre(PHC) at Dobbespet hobli in Nelamangala taluk on Monday.
The girl’s mother said that the family did not understand that she is pregnant till she started complaining of stomach pain.
“My brother who works at a private firm in Mysore used to visit us regularly and he is behind the pregnancy,” said the girl’s mother.
Dr Kiran Kumar of the PHC said the patient was rushed in with stomach pain around 11.50 am. At 12.30 pm, the girl delivered a boy.
“Both the mother and the baby are healthy,” said Kumar. The patient was later shifted to the general hospital in Tumkur.
No complaint has been registered in this connection so far, it is learnt.
