BANGALORE: The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) approached City police commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar on Saturday requesting the police to track down those behind a ‘malicious’ article in Wikipedia on actor-politician M H Ambareesh.

The personal history section of a Wikipedia article on Ambareesh was edited by unknown persons with remarks on his married life and health. The section was removed from the article on Saturday afternoon.

“This has slighted one of the icons of Kannada film industry. We have asked the police commissioner to trace the perpetrator and take immediate action,” said KFCC president Gangaraju. When Express contacted Auradkar, he said DCP (Crime) Abhishek Goel has been asked to look into the complaint. “Based on his report, we will take action,” he said.
