BANGALORE: The torso of a man was found at the busy Kalasipalyam bus stand on Friday night.
Police are searching for the head, with the help of which they hope to identify the victim, who looks about 25.
They suspect the ghastly murder was committed late on Thursday and the body dumped at the bus stand.
Around 9.30 pm, a passerby noticed dogs sniffing at the torso.
He immediately alerted the beat police, who began to look for clues.
They found the murdered man's legs in a bag, 90 minutes after they began scouring the area.
Some people said they had seen an Innova car moving about suspiciously on Friday evening. It was parked in front of a lodge, they said.
Using such clues, police are checking CCTV footage from the neighbourhood.
They are also calling up other stations to ask about missing complaints.
"We have alerted neighbouring districts, too," a police source said.
