St Antony's Felicitates, Bids Farewell to Retiring Teachers

CHENNAI: St Antony’s GHSS, Mandaveli, celebrated a Day of Felicitation and Farewell in honour of the retiring teachers P J Josephine, Sec Gr Asst; Magdalene Olivia, PG (Zoo); Mathalai Mary, PG (Eco); and Daisy Anne (drawing mistress) on September 13 on the school premises. The grand reception and procession of the teachers was followed by a solemn thanksgiving mass and prayer service.

The cultural programme presented by the students was enlightening and touched the hearts of the audience. They expressed in their own creative ways their gratitude to their teachers. The programme was presided over by Alphonse, retired teacher of the school.

The retiring teachers thanked correspondent Sr Angeline, headmistress Sr Jesintha Victoria, the staff and the students for organising the get-together. They stated that they would relish and cherish the memorable days of their life as teachers of the school. The teachers rendered their thanks to the Almighty for having given them an opportunity to be a part of the institution.
