10th Edition of the Great Indian Octoberfest

BANGALORE: The Great Indian Octoberfest, one of Bangalore's biggest music festivals, is all set to take off this month at E-Zone Club, Marathalli.

A three day fest, The Great Indian Octoberfest  will take place from October 17 to 19.

In its 10th edition, The Great Indian Octoberfest  boasts of an international line-up that sees German progressive metal band The Ocean Collective headlining the event.

Other acts making an appearance this year are theBoomshackalak maestro, Apache Indian, Lucky Ali, Benny Dayal, Manganiyar Seduction, Raghu Dixit Project and many more.

Some of the Bangalore-based bands that will perform on the three days are Pinch, Space Behind the Yellow Room, Hard Enough and Brodha V.

Apart from musical acts, the fest will also see stand-up comedy performances, karaoke, flea markets, games and songwriting sessions in this edition.

Commenting on the occasion, a spokesperson said, ”The Great Indian Octoberfest is in the league of the most anticipated music festivals in India today. In this edition, The Great Indian Octoberfest  is bringing together the biggest names in music across genres and the fest has been designed to strike a chord with every fan. Over the years, the fest has grown not only in terms of numbers but also in spirit, and we hope to engage beer and music lovers with an experience of a lifetime.”

The Great Indian Octoberfest was introduced in Bangalore in 2005.

Last year, approximately 25,000 people attended the fest.
