A Free Tool for Students to Hone Their Maths Skills

CHENNAI: To assist and guide students to hone their skills in mathematics and science, a free online formative assessment platform has been launched by a start-up company called MelonPrep.

Targeted at school students from Classes 6 to 12, it is the ultimate practice platform for students of ICSE, IGCSE, CBSE, IB and for those who aim to appear in competitive exams like JEE, NEET, GRE, GMAT, CAT, SAT.

Once the student logs on to http://www.melonprep.com, he/she will find an assessment platform over 100, 000 questions on a range of topics and concepts covering all the major exams in the mathematics and science subjects.

It complements teachers, coaching institutes and tutors with an application to create various preparatory tests and quizzes, and enables them to create customised assessments for their student community.

The name MelonPrep is the brainchild of two budding entrepreneurs Saurabh Mundra and Hussain Tambawala, a tribute to their university, Carnegie Mellon, and the experience they shared.
