BANGALORE : The next edition of the city’s biotechnology showcase, Bangalore India Bio, will be held between February 9 and 11 next year with the theme ‘Crystallising India’s Biotech Future’, the Department of IT, BT and S&T announced here on Wednesday.
At a curtain-raiser, addressed by IT/BT Minister S R Patil along with Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw of Biocon and Srivatsa Krishna, Secretary to the department, an overview of the conference was presented.
In its 15th year, BIB will consist of multi-track conferences, a trade show, lectures by resource persons as well as the Bio Excellence awards. A highlight is ‘Top Gun Talks’ which is a session where keynote addresses will be delivered by the global leaders from science and industry.
BIB will have 25 conference sessions, 100 exhibitors as well as representation from around 20 countries including Scotland, EU, USA and many others.
