CHENNAI: Bharathi Matriculation School celebrated the 84th birthday of former President A P J Abdul Kalam and Global Handwashing Day on October 15.

The school conducted elocution, poem and song competitions on the day.

A Handwashing Day campaign was conducted in the school to motivate and mobilise students to wash their hands with soap. This campaign is dedicated to raise awareness about handwashing with soap as a key to disease prevention.
