Quality Education for a Better Life

BANGALORE: Global High School at Chinnappa Garden, Benson Town, is a coeducational institution affiliated to the state syllabus. Established in the year 1995 by Suguna Balakrishna, the school is run by the Global Education Society.

Currently, the school has a strength of 200 students and nine teaching and two non-teaching staff, with a teacher-student ratio of 1:20. The Global High School imparts quality education to every student, in order to aid the formation of a sound character, mental strength and sharpened intellect. “We open doors for them to explore opportunities and freedom. To hone intelligence and character, which is the goal of true education,” says Suguna Balakrishna.

Every child is trained and taught according to their capabilities. The teachers are well-qualified, and regular workshops and seminars are conducted to improve their teaching methods. Apart from academics, the school also encourages the students to take part in co-curricular activities. On the Annual Day, the school ensures that each student takes part in some cultural activity. They also take part in inter-school, cluster-level and regional sports competitions conducted by various organisations.

The teachers maintain a cordial relationship with the students as well as their parents. Every student’s performance is evaluated regularly and the parents are notified of the progress made in the parent-teacher meetings.

The school conducts medical camps for its students and other children in the locality to promote physical fitness and well-being. Emphasis is also laid on general hygiene and cleanliness.

Occasions like Teacher’s Day, Diwali, Ramzan, Christmas, Ganesh Chathurthi, etc are celebrated and their significance is explained in the assembly.

The school also conducts elections to elect the school captains. This practice promotes the feeling of democracy among the students.

The school wholeheartedly supports the RTE, and for the academic year 2014-15, students have been admitted under the provision.
