School Students Take Part in Hygiene Camp

CHENNAI: The nursing team of Fortis Hospital, Arcot road, organised an awareness drive for the students of Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School in Ashok Nagar. The awareness programme was organised for Global Hand Washing Day. Over 425 students from Classs 6 to 12 took part in the programme.

The objective was to build awareness and inculcate the healthy habit of maintaining hand hygiene among children. The students were briefed on the importance of washing their hands at regular intervals and specifically before eating food, and an audio-visual presentation was screened that explained different steps to wash hands.

The teachers took an oath to ensure the implementation and practice of all that was taught to the children.
