Workshop on Role of Teachers

CHENNAI: Viveka Trust, a charitable organisation of Chennai, conducted a workshop for the teachers of Bharathi Matric School, Rajajipuram, Thiruvallur on ‘Teachers’ vital role in bringing up the future generation’ and ‘Molding Adolescence’ on August 28.

Inbaraj, Reader of SCERT, Chennai and Neela Durai, National Awardee for the Best Teacher, [Kendra Vidyalaya] were the resource persons for these topics. Inbaraj gave the teachers innovative ideas for bringing up the future generationand by being instrumental in getting substantial students’ progress. Students should be focused more on the exploratory.

Neela said adolescence was a biological cognitive and emotional roller coaster ride. It is the transition from childhood to adulthood. Parents and Teachers struggle to keep them on track.  We must focus on the students rather than on their weaknesses. Teachers benefited from the programme, which ended with a vote of thanks.
