BANGALORE: A businessman was booked by the Commercial Street police for attempting to molest a woman. The police booked a case based on a complaint filed by a 40-year-old woman, reportedly his business aquaintance. According to the lady, she had visited Srinivas Bhat (65), owner of a business on Infantry Road on August 25, to discuss a transaction.

However, they began to argue and in the course of the argument, Srinivas allegedly grabbed the woman’s hand and attempted to stop her from leaving the office by grabbing her shoulder. When the woman raised an alarm, other staff members came to her rescue.

After informing her husband, she decided to register a complaint on September 13. According to the police, a case has been registered under section 34 of the IPC.
