BANGALORE: In a broad daylight robbery, two men who posed as BESCOM staff barged into the house and attacked a 30-year-old woman to rob her. The incident took place on Tavarekere Main Road near BTM Layout on Tuesday. An accused tried to escape and was caught by locals and handed over to the police before he was thrashed.
The police said the incident took place at around 11.30 am when Sashirekha was alone at her house on the first floor. Her husband Vasanth Kumar, a mechanical engineer had gone to work while her daughter was at school.
